Thousands of Jobs Announced After Punjab Lifts Ban on New Hiring
Pervaiz Elahi, the Chief Minister (CM) of Punjab, announced 30,000 new job openings on Thursday after lifting the hiring prohibition.
The CM initially put the moratorium on new hires in the province administration in July of this year. On July 29, the government announced a ban on all hiring outside of appointments made through the Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC).
It made the choice to hire 16,000 educators last month, and it sent the summary of that decision for approval to the CM Office.

Murad Raas, the provincial minister of education, tweeted about it and expressed gratitude for the opportunity to give young people new chances.
Since the recruitment embargo has been removed, the formal advertisement will be released after the CM has approved the summary.
Additionally, Minister Raas stated that the procedure for the regularisation of 14,000 teachers had been “started, signed, and proceeded forward” and that more encouraging news would be forthcoming shortly.
